Liability Limits: The maximum financial coverage the insurer (company) will pay in behalf of the insured (customer). These amounts meet the Texas Financial Responsibility minimum requirements. The coverage Pronto offers is:
Maximum of $30,000 for Bodily Injury per person (Medical)
Maximum of $60,000 for Bodily Injury Total per accident (Medical total)
Maximum of $25,000 for Property Damage per accident (Tangibles damaged)
These Limits can be referred to as “30/60/25”
Required by Law in Texas also known as 3rd party damage.
UnInsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage (UI/UIM): Pays for injuries and property damage caused by:
Hit and run driver
Motorist without liability insurance.
It will also pay the main insured and/or medical bills if they are higher than the other driver’s liability coverage.(not enough Insurance)
Has a deductible of $250
Limits are the same carried on Liability, for Pronto the only limits available are 30/60/25
The golden rule of this coverage is that the Pronto customer can’t be at fault for UI/UIM to pay.
Personal Injury Protection (PIP): Pays limited medical and funeral expenses if main insured or a passenger in the car is injured or killed in an auto accident. It also pays loss of income benefits.
Benefits are $2,500.00 per passenger in the insured’s vehicle.
There’s no deductible
Pays regardless of fault
No limit of passengers that can receive the benefit
Physical Damage: Visible and tangible damage to property. All property damage claims are paid under Actual Cash Value (ACV) which means the value of the vehicle minus depreciation.
Collision Coverage: Pays for damage to the customer's vehicle.
Without regard to who caused an accident.
Deductible is $500
Payout is Actual Cash Value (Cost to replace minus depreciation) of the car.
Always sold with OTC (Comprehensive).
Other Than Collision Coverage (Comprehensive): Pays for damage to the customer's vehicle due to a non-accident event such as:
hail, vandalism, flood fire or theft.
Without regard to who caused an accident
Deductible is $500
Payout is Actual Cash Value (Cost to replace minus depreciation) of the car. Always sold with Collision.
Rental: provides reimbursement for expenses incurred for renting a vehicle as a result of damage to the insured’s vehicle from a collision or comprehensive policy coverage.
To be used ONLY after an accident.
The rental must be from a licensed rental company
The reimbursement rate will not exceed $25 a day with a maximum benefit of $750 per accident or claim.
Towing: provides reimbursement for expenses incurred for towing a vehicle as a result of damage to the insured’s vehicle from a collision or comprehensive policy coverage.
To be used ONLY after an accident.
The towing must be from a licensed towing company
The reimbursement rate will not exceed $70 per accident or claim.
